Grounding Components in Solar System
The grounded conductive accessories used in solar systems are:grounding
washer,grounding lug,bonding jumper.
A ferrous metal part in the grounding path is protected against corrosion by metallic or nonmetallic coatings, such as painting, galvanizing, or plating. Stainless steel is acceptable without additional coating.
Grounding Washer has its smart and a variety of designs who is
inserted between module frame and mounting rail, the teeth of ground clip
pierce the anodized coating well. The result is excellent conductivity without
oxidation, which makes the module and rail become one singular piece of metal,
creating an electrical path the ground.
Grounding Lug is a grounding component for solar modules and solar
racking systems allowing easy termination to the ground wire.
Bonding Jumpers are available with conductive and back-up plate,
which provide a reliable, gas tight electrical connection, and the braided
copper wire allows for thermal expansion.
An explicit requirement that there be “no direct contact between different metals that may exhibit galvanic corrosion in atmospheric environments either between parts within the grounding device, or when the device is attached as specified to the accessible conductive part.”
